Of Danger Touching and Secret Picture Taking

Greg Boose and Claire Bidwell Smith like to touch motorcycles. A lot. In fact, in the last week they've touched a collective amount of 30 motorcycles and two mopeds. Although mopeds don't actually count. There are rules over on the left. You should read them.

Danger Touch, a game where two people send pictures of their hand touching a stranger's motorcycle to each other over the phone, is the result of an article Greg wrote for The Nervous Breakdown. It was about his awful neighbor kids in Moorhead, Minnesota. He wanted them to hurt themselves so that they would keep it down out there.

To put the piece together, he took secret pictures of these home-schooled dirtballs doing things that they weren't supposed to: rooting through the backyard dumpsters, standing on the top of fences and touching motorcycles.

Claire got her eyes on the motorcycle picture and laughed. Greg laughed that she laughed. And then Greg did the most logical thing and sent Claire a picture of himself touching a motorcycle on his way to work. She reciprocated later that day, and the game of Danger Touch was born out of wedlock.

There is a link on the left to create your own DT battle with anyone in the country. Exchange phone numbers, set an end date, and start uploading your pictures on the Active Battles page. You do that, and every step you take outside of your home will have an entirely new meaning. Things get touched. Things get dangerous.
